No Weekend for Warriors | Mission Blog

America seems to run M-F 8-5. That's when people work. Then the weekend comes, and that's their play time. The human body works 24 hours a day Sunday to Sunday, repeat. As long as you're alive, it doesn't stop its work, even when you are sleeping. When you have a fitness goal, when you are envisioning your dream of who and what you want and need to become, while you may get a "rest day" you really have no Day Off. I'm in Phase 1 of the P90X3: Mass schedule, and I have a lot of work to do. When the weekend comes, I still have to get up and workout. I still have to watch the nutrition and be aware of what will happen if I deviate.
There is no "weekend" in fitness. That sounds like I'm a task-master driving you to the ground, but don't forget that the ones who succeed don't see workouts as "worik". They love to do them... that's "ME TIME" when I take care of my body so that I can do the things I want and need to do.
One whole DAY of "cheat food" will undo 3-4 DAYS of work that you've invested in yourself. Watch the Cheat Meals, and limit it to one if any. The people that you see with the awesome transformations? Most of them stick to the program 100% and that includes the nutrition.
So, stay in the game all week long! When you finish your program, take a week of rest and stretching. Relax the nutrition a bit, but don't fall back into habits, because once that in-between-program time is over, it's back to work play!
